The TSCMi and many of its members have worked very hard over many years to improve and raise standards in TSCM.
Currently this has resulted in a TSCMi Code of Practice (CoP) and the TSCM National Occupational Standard (NOS).
TSCMi Code of Practice (CoP)
The TSCMi CoP outlines the conduct and methods which the TSCMi expects its Members to adhere to when conducting TSCM work.
All TSCMi Members have committed to adhere to the TSCMi Code of Practice.
TSCM National Occupational Standard (NOS)
The TSCM NOS was produced by a cross market group of TSCM people (including many TSCMi Founding Members) working together over 2 years in cooperation with Skills for Security who were instructed by UK Government to coordinate the project and subsiquent output in line with the National Occupational Standards framework so that it could be published and adopted along witth other security related National Occupational Standards.
All TSCMi Members have committed to adhere to the TSCM National Occupational Standard.
NOS History & Contributors
Prior to the series of meetings in 2009 which culminated in the current National Occupational Standard being produced, a series of meetings were held in 2005 where some initial work was carried out in an attempt to work towards a national occupational standard. The following tables show who attended the 2005 and 2009 – 2010 meetings. The 2009 – 2010 meetings and the National Occupational Standards project were hosted by Skills for Security.
